Pat's new camo hat McManus Books

Your Only Authorized Online Source of Autographed Patrick F. McManus Books and "Rancid Wear"

Our book inventory is extremely low at this time.  We will be restocking in a month or two.  In the meantime, Bun has been cleaning out cupboards and keeps finding little stashes of various and asundry editions of Pat's books that she has accumulated over the years.  We will be posting them in the store periodically for those of you who love the old books.  We only have small quantities of any of the older editions we post, so if you are interested, please order promptly.  Also, many of the older editions of books Bun finds are already signed by Pat and so will not be available for additional personalized autographs.

Please don't forget to also check out our exclusive Rancid Crabtree hats in our Rancid Wear collection at the bottom of the books.

Thanks for shopping!

A note regarding special autographs: You only have 25 spaces to work with--like "For Fred".  All books come with Pat's authentic signature. No stamps for us!  (You know it's real because of the mistakes!  If you are very lucky you will get a tree or even a forest artistically hand-drawn by Pat as he covers up his mistakes--watch for the little footprints he always adds!)

Sorry--No international orders at this time!

Horse in My GarageThe Horse in My Garage and Other Stories

(autographed hardcover, 2012)

The Horse in My Garage and Other Stories is a hilarious addition to Patrick F. McManus’s existing work in humor. The author weighs in on his childhood, everyday life, and outdoor tales with his typical exaggerated commentary that will elicit a belly laugh from all types of readers.

Read about the antics of Patrick’s friends Rancid Crabtree and Retch Sweeney in such stories as “Shaping Up for the Hunt” and “Bear Hunters.” McManus plays off the recent obsession with hoarders in his surprising story “The Lady Who Kept Things.” In the titular story, meet Patrick’s horse, Huckleberry, and enjoy the experience of all the problems that come along with owning your own horse—or keeping him in the garage.

Other great stories include:

  • “Catch-And-Eaters,” about the importance of a forked stick when fishing
  • “$7000 TV Historical Extravaganza,” a look at one director’s loose interpretation of historical accuracy and political correctness
  • “A Lake Too Far,” concerning the woes of Patrick and his wife, Bun, on a fateful birding trip in Australia
  • “Chicken Chronicles,” which involves Patrick’s memory of wandering around naked in the chicken yard when guests came to call

So pull up a chair, sit back, and enjoy laughing to the hilarious adventures of Patrick F. McManus in The Horse in My Garage and Other Stories.

Huckleberry MurdersThe Huckleberry Murders

(autographed, 1st Edition, hardcover, 2010. Mystery #4)

Sheriff Bo Tully is the brand of western lawman who uses as much cunning and guile on the ladies as he does solving his cases. He's a man with a sense of humor and a hunch for the truth, which comes in handy when trying to capture killers and establish order in Blight County.

Never one to let lack of evidence or a lack of dead bodies stand in his way when it comes to solving a murder, Tully is on the trail of Ray Crocket, a ranch caretaker who he suspects has murdered local retiree Orville Poulson. Then three unidentified bodies are found murdered execution-style in a Blight huckleberry patch and Tully has a hunch he's got more trouble on his hands than just a sociopathic ranch hand.

Bo Tully, sheriff of Blight County, Idaho -- and a fellow who dropped twenty pounds on Atkins -- had been thinking about asking out Jan Whittle, his grade-school sweetheart. Problem is, he's already promised to celebrate his dad's seventy-fifth birthday with him. Thwarted romance proves to be the least of Bo's problems, however, when a dead body turns up on Batim Scragg's ranch.
